Bluegrass Blueticks is not a brand built around dog photos. The dogs came first. The website is simply here to tell their story.
Our Story
More than a kennel.
Bluegrass Blueticks was shaped around a simple belief: a good hound can be beautiful, capable, intelligent and still be the kind of dog somebody wants beside them every day.
The program has deep show bloodlines behind it and select working blood chosen with conformation in mind. That combination preserved the dual-purpose nature of the Bluetick while giving Bluegrass a clear direction—show quality and companionship.
Today, companionship is where the program is intentionally headed. Conformation still matters. Intelligence still matters. The heritage still matters. But the final measure is whether the dog can share a life well.

Kentucky Roots
Country dogs, raised in real life.
The puppy room, the stack table, the yard, the truck, the couch—those are all part of Bluegrass. We are not interested in making the dogs look like they live in a catalog.
We want people to see the program as it is: serious breeding decisions, real hounds and a lot of ordinary days spent living with them.
